One of the best things about running Carpe Dink'em is seeing who turns up. On any given week our courts at Coolum State High School have players from Noosa, Peregian, Maroochydore, the hinterland — and a crew who drive down from Gympie every Thursday night for Advanced.
So we've put together a page for each area we draw players from. Each one tells you how far we are, the easiest way to get here, and which sessions players from your area tend to enjoy. Here's the quick version.
Close to home: 5–15 minutes
Peregian Beach, Peregian Springs, Yaroomba & Point Arkwright — you're our nearest neighbours. Around 5–10 minutes down the David Low Way or Emu Mountain Road, close enough to come straight from work.
Marcoola, Mudjimba, Twin Waters, Pacific Paradise & Bli Bli — a short run up the coast, around 10–15 minutes. Easy for an evening session.
An easy drive: 20–30 minutes
Noosa Heads, Sunshine Beach, Noosaville & Tewantin — around 25–30 minutes via the Sunshine Motorway, or take the scenic David Low Way through Peregian.
Maroochydore, Mooloolaba & Alexandra Headland — around 20–25 minutes north on the Sunshine Motorway.
Buderim & Sippy Downs — around 25–30 minutes, almost all of it on the motorway.
Nambour, Yandina, Woombye & Palmwoods — Yandina–Coolum Road brings you straight across to the coast. About 15 minutes from Yandina, 25 from Nambour.
Eumundi, Doonan, Cooroy, Pomona & Cooran — around 20 minutes from Eumundi, up to 40 from Cooran.
Worth the trip: Gympie
We've got regulars from Gympie who make the drive every week for Thursday night Advanced. It's a little over an hour down the Bruce Highway — and if they reckon it's worth it, that probably says enough.
Why people make the drive
It's indoors. Every session runs rain, hail or summer heat. No checking the forecast, no cancelled games.
It's organised. Our hosts run the rotations, so you're playing, not standing around waiting for a court or trying to find a game.
There's a session for your level. From Social Saturdays for complete beginners, through Intermediate nights, to Thursday Advanced for 3.5+ players — plus coached Skills & Drills on Sundays.
It's simple to try. $15 for a casual session, no membership needed. Paddle hire is available if you don't have your own. Play regularly and a 10-session pass brings it down to $12 a session.
Not sure where to start?
If you've never played, come to Social Saturdays. It's open to all levels, relaxed, and the easiest way to learn the game. If you'd like to brush up on the basics before you arrive, our rules page covers everything in plain English.
Wherever you're coming from, we'd love to see you on court. See this week's sessions and book your spot →
