Coaching with Mark Taylor
We're very pleased to have Mark Taylor coaching at Carpe Dink'em. Mark spends his weekends on the other side of the net at professional tournaments across Australia and Asia — and he brings all of it back to the courts at Coolum.

Mark is a UPCC Level 2 certified coach, and an international Head Referee working with NPL Australia and Global Sports India, and heading up officiating at APP Tour events in Kuala Lumpur. His job at those tournaments is to lead referee teams, apply the rulebook under pressure, and keep matches fair when the stakes are high.
He is also a Foundational Registry Member of the Registry of Certified Pickleball Coaches, recognised for his contribution to the integrity of the game and his long involvement in international officiating.
What that means for you: someone who has watched thousands of points at the top of the sport, knows exactly why the good players win them, and can explain the rules that most club players are quietly getting wrong.

Leads and mentors referee teams across Australia's National Pickleball League.
Officiating at professional level across the Indian circuit, including the Indian Open.

Head Referee for the APP Tour's Malaysian events.
On court for Major League Pickleball's Australian competition.
Recognised for his contribution to the integrity of the sport and his longstanding involvement in international officiating.

Dinks, drops, drives, resets and serves — the shots that decide games, broken down and rebuilt.
Court positioning, shot selection, stacking and how to actually win points as a pair.
Serving, the kitchen, scoring and line calls — from someone who referees these decisions at professional level.
