FAQ
What is a pickleball round robin?
A round robin is a format where players rotate partners and opponents across multiple rounds, so everyone gets to play with and against different people. It's the most popular format for social pickleball nights.
What is Fixed Pairs mode?
Fixed Pairs keeps partners together for the whole session. Each round, pairs are matched against different pairs. The algorithm prioritises unique matchups so every pair faces as many different opponents as possible — with zero or minimal repeats.
How many players do I need?
Standard mode requires at least 4 players. Fixed Pairs mode requires at least 2 pairs (4 players). For a full session with 4 courts, 10 pairs (20 players) is ideal.
What happens if I have extra players?
Players or pairs who don't fit will sit out each round. The generator rotates sitting out as fairly as possible — in Fixed Pairs mode, no pair sits out more than twice.
Can I export the draw?
Yes — you can print it as a PDF or export it as an Excel file with all scores included.
