Pickleball in Coolum and Noosa: Your Local Guide to Getting on Court

Looking for pickleball near Coolum, Noosa or Peregian Beach? Here's everything you need to know about playing on the Sunshine Coast.

Pickleball is booming on the Sunshine Coast — and if you're in Coolum, Noosa, Peregian Beach, or anywhere in between, you're in the right place to get involved.

Where to Play Pickleball Near Coolum

Carpe Dink'em Pickleball runs indoor sessions at Coolum State High School, right in the heart of Coolum Beach. It's one of the only dedicated indoor pickleball programs in the northern Sunshine Coast, which means no rain cancellations, consistent court conditions, and a proper community vibe.

Sessions run throughout the week — Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday — covering beginner-friendly through to advanced levels. Whether you've never picked up a paddle or you're chasing competitive play, there's a session for you.

Getting There from Noosa

Coolum Beach is just 20 minutes south of Noosa Heads along the David Low Way — a straight coastal run with easy parking at the school. Most Noosa players find it a comfortable commute, especially for an evening session. It's also easy from Peregian Beach, Marcus Beach, and Castaways Beach.

What to Expect at Your First Session

First-timers are welcome at any session. You don't need your own equipment to start — borrow a paddle and some balls and just turn up. You'll sign a one-time liability waiver (it only takes a minute), and then you're straight onto the court.

Sessions run as round robin — you'll rotate through games with different partners and opponents, which means you meet everyone and no one gets left out. It's a genuinely social format that works for all skill levels.

How to Book

All bookings are made online through our sessions page. You can pay casually per session ($15) or grab a 10-session pass for $120 — that works out to $12 a session, saving you $30 over casual rates.

Sessions fill up, so booking in advance is worth it. The waitlist is active, so if a session you want is full, jump on — spots open up regularly.

The Sunshine Coast Pickleball Community

The northern Sunshine Coast is one of the fastest-growing pockets of pickleball in Queensland. Between the warm weather, the active lifestyle culture, and the sport's low barrier to entry, it's not hard to see why. If you've been thinking about trying it, now's the time — the community is welcoming, the sessions are well-run, and the learning curve is genuinely enjoyable.

See you on the court at Coolum.
